Ernesto Mireles, MSW. Ph.D., filmmaker, author, and organizer is faculty in the Ethnic Studies department at Northern Arizona University. He has published book chapters and scholarly articles. His book Insurgent Aztlan: the liberating power of cultural resistance received an International Latino Book Award. Mireles hosts a podcast called The Reality Dysfunction. His first documentary is titled War of the Flea: Fight for Xicano Studies. He is currently at work on his next book titled FlowerWar: A Theory of Xicano Confrontation.
